Skills development

Skills enhancement among our staff and managers, along with quality recruitment and integrating new arrivals, contributes to the development and well-being of our human capital.

With more than 40,000 hours of training each year for our 3,000 employees, training is one of a major development tool for Laïta and the people who work here.

"Training is a team effort"

Karine Delcourt, Head of HR Development, Ploudaniel (29)

"Skills development and training are fundamental for us. I work closely with the HR teams in the different business areas to facilitate discussions, synergies and the adoption of new practices. For the record, we provide more than 40,000 hours of training for our 3,000 employees and our training budget for 2021 was over 2.45 million euros (2.7% of our total payroll).

We hold quarterly meetings to exchange information on our operational methods, new training needs, good practice, legal developments, etc. We also share our common training initiatives to create a cross-functional training plan for use by the HR Development department."

"We test and offer new methods"

Karine Delcourt, Head of HR Development, Ploudaniel (29)

"Each business area operates its own independent skills development programme. We test and offer new methods such as e-learning training sessions and hold ‘mini-co-developments’ on a regular basis to support the participants.

Our more recent projects include one on management culture; we developed a new training course and offered new topics on management, steering, methods and staff development. Each topic was co-constructed with members of the management culture working group and the HR teams; a valuable co-construction effort that enabled us to respond to the real needs of the teams."
