Reducing water and energy consumption

Faced with soaring energy costs and pressure on water resources, our industrial sites are taking concrete steps to reduce their consumption. Focus on our Yffiniac site, which aims to reduce its water consumption by 10,000 m³ by 2024.

How can we reduce our water and energy consumption?

Every year, Laïta's Yffiniac site (22) receives 200 million litres of milk, produces 20,000 tonnes of fresh dairy products, 11,000 tonnes of milk powder and breaks down 3,000 tonnes of milk into its various components for use in Laïta's cheese dairies. Faced with soaring energy costs and pressure on water resources, the site is rolling out a concrete action plan.

One of the levers in this strategy is the close collaboration with the Malouin start-up Thrasos A.I., founded in 2020 by Mahiedinne Chergui, winner of the Even' Up competition organised by the Even Group, Laïta's parent company.

Open innovation for sobriety and performance
