Paysan Breton celebrates four new medals at the Concours Général Agricole 2026
Paysan Breton picked up four medals once again at the 2026 Concours Général Agricole® - two gold, one silver and one bronze. A distinction that pays tribute to the expertise of the cooperative brand and its dairy farmers, and to the standards it sets for the butters and cheeses that have been enjoyed by food lovers for generations.
Moulded Butter with Guérande Sea Salt Crystals
Gold Medal. The Moulded Butter with Guérande Sea Salt Crystals impressed the judges with its authentic flavour and attractive fluted shape. It is made with cream and carefully selected cultures simply enhanced with salt crystals from the Guérande salt marshes, and frequently wins awards at the Concours Général Agricole®.
The jury praised it as ‘an excellent product. The powerful flavour, the pronounced salt crystals and the quality of the cream are outstanding.’
Madame Loïk Whipped Cheese with Garlic & Fine Herbs
Madame Loïk Whipped Cheese with Garlic & Fine Herbs was awarded the Bronze Medal for its well-balanced flavours and smooth, whipped texture.
It is made from milk produced by Paysan Breton dairy farmers with the addition of fine herbs grown in France to give it a delicately enhanced flavour. Containing no flavourings or preservatives, it stands out for its fresh, appealing recipe, the quality of the ingredients and the French origin of its herbs and seasoning.
Camembert Pays
Two Paysan Breton soft cheeses mainly produced for the export market were also distinguished at the Concours Général Agricole®. The Camembert Pays, marketed in Europe, won the Gold Medal and was commended for its attractive appearance and fine bloom.
Tarte de Brie
The Tarte de Brie, distributed worldwide, was rewarded a Silver Medal for its creamy, melt-in-the-mouth texture and the well-balanced intensity of its flavours.
About the Concours Général Agricole®
The Concours Général Agricole® was created in 1870 and grants awards for the best products from the French territory every year. The products are tasted and rated by a panel comprising producers, professionals from the agri-food industry, and knowledgeable consumers, under supervision by the French Ministry of Agriculture.
These medals are a source of immense pride for our dairy farmers and our staff. They reward the collective effort they make on a daily basis with dedication and passion, to offer products that reflect our expertise and the quality of the milk produced on our farms in Brittany and Pays de la Loire.
