We invest in industrial and logistics tools
In spite of the health crisis, Laïta invested almost 40 million euros in modernising and diversifying equipment in 2021.
The teams in the dairy segment carried out a great many transformation projects.
A number of major investments were made in the course of the year:
- modernising the machinery at the Landerneau site (29) by replacing the hot air generator oven in one of the milk drying towers. This new equipment makes the installation safe, helps control energy consumption and prolongs the life of activities at the site.
- expanding the cheese production facility at Créhen (22) to increase the production of whipped cheeses and improve work spaces and traffic flows.
- replacing the chilled water production facilities at the Yffiniac site (22) with refrigerants. This solution, which has a low global warming potential (GWP), ensures energy efficiency and reduces our environmental impact.
