Florence
Line Operator
After training for nine months on a work-study programme, Florence became a line operator in the packaging department at the Ancenis (44) butter factory.

A dynamic, stimulating environment
Florence never intended to work in the agri-food sector, but she joined Laïta in 2021 on a work-study programme at the Ancenis (44) butter factory. After nine months of intensive training she was appointed as a production line operator in the packing department. The appointment was a turning point in her career as it provided an opportunity for development within a stimulating, dynamic environment.
A living product
As a line operator in the Ancenis (44) butter factory, Florence controls the production of moulded butter in 125 gram and 250 gram packs. “It sounds easy because a lot of the operations are automated, but butter is a living product, its texture varies according to the season and the recipe used,” she explains. The job requires precision and autonomy. It consists of setting up the machines, starting up production and ensuring the operations run smoothly. “Managing everything from A to Z on my lines gives me enormous satisfaction,” she says.
Florence does not intend to stop there. Her plan is to undertake internal training to manage other production lines and become more versatile. She’s also keen to get involved in future modernisation projects alongside her colleagues and managers.

My job requires organisational skills and autonomy. Controlling everything from A to Z on my lines gives me enormous satisfaction, especially as there’s a great atmosphere on the shop floor. It’s nice working in these conditions.
