Julie

Recruitment Officer

As a recruitment officer, Julie collaborates with managers to respond to their recruitment needs, a job that involves contact, listening and openness.

Improvement of skills

Julie’s recruitment career started at a temping agency, where she acquired excellent skills in the sector. Continuing her career path, she took the opportunity to join Laïta as a recruitment assistant where her skills and independence levels quickly improved due to her dedication, and she rose to the position of recruitment officer.

A job that’s all about people

Julie handles all types of recruitment from production jobs to support services, and different types of contract: permanent, fixed term, work placement, work-study programmes and temporary staff. She finds this broad remit both challenging and stimulating. To better understand the company’s requirements she often goes into the workplace to meet the staff and gain personal experience of the working environment. She maintains a constant link with managers to identify the profiles required, and provides a comprehensive service as part of the recruitment process, covering everything from posting the vacancy to inducting new recruits. “It’s a job that requires contact and openness, where human relations are paramount,” she explains.

She also develops partnerships with schools and takes part in recruitment fairs and job dating events. She makes every effort to attract and retain the best talent. “It’s impossible to get bored in this job,” she concludes.

The complexity of my job is also one of its attractions - the huge variety of positions to be filled means you have to acquire a thorough knowledge of the company and its different departments.
